"Kapari" Restaurant

The Aegean Flavors of Sun and Sea

The numerous islands of the Aegean, one of the largest and most important island groups in the world, is a land formed from the sun, the sea and the refreshing wind. The specific microclimate of each island has contributed to the creation of unique products, some of which cannot be found anywhere else in the world. Thus, each island is its own unique culinary paradise.
“Kapari” Restaurant (“Kapari” in greek means “Caper”), an airy and light setting next to the sea respects what Tinos has to offer in our plates. The fertile land of Tinos covered with endemic flora like capers, mushrooms, spiny chicory, dittany, thyme, wild artichokes, oregano, prickly pears, sage, chamomile, and all types of aromatic herbs used in dishes and tisanes. Fine meat produced by small farmers, fresh fish and seafood, healthy fresh vegetables served with brilliant wine, and mouth-watering fruits all serving to create a kaleidoscope of tastes.
Many gastronomic specialties are found on Tinos Island as local artichoke, smaller and with a very tender heart, used for making myriad dishes, sun-dried tomatoes fried in butter, froutalia (omelet with sausages or cured pork), the vinegar-based “savore” sauce with grape must syrup, stuffed calamari and much more.

“Kapari” Restaurant are invited you to experience a unique culinary trip and delve into the gastronomic tradition of Tinos Island.

Signature Cocktails/Sparking Wines

Nothing says summer better than an afternoon spent lounging by the sea with a signature cocktail. We have chosen for our guests a collection of tasty signature cocktails, both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Blended margaritas, frozen daiquiris and mojitos with mastic are ready to try them this season. For wine lovers, we have chosen fine sparkling wines like Prosecco or Asti Martini.

Mediterranean Dishes

We always cook with “meraki” (“meraki” is a greek word and means to do something with soul, passion, love and creativity or to put yourself in to whatever you do). Our Home Made Mediterranean Dishes like stuffed tomatoes, meatballs with tomato sauce, moussaka, eggplants imam and much more are full of excellent raw ingredients and flavors specific to Greece: oregano, thyme, rosemary, lemonthyme, and of course, extra virgin olive oil.

Cold Refreshments

Everything in summer is better frozen. Beat the heat during the holidays with some cold summer refreshments. Cool off with alcohol free refreshing drinks next to our brand new Jacuzzi or by the sea. We recommend to try our homemade lemonade with mint, a virgin mojito, or a strawberry sorbet.
